  • Description    
First of all we took in consideration the importance of the site, for its topography, its vegetation, and its geographical orientation.
 
The Urban Special Plan is obviously strict on those aspects, prescribing a surrounding adaptation condition. The result is a long “aircraft carrier” cutting through the sea of pine trees with a roof that serves as well as an access platform.

 

One of the aims of LEITAT is to encourage the individual creative work in the best physical surrounding, specifically the immersion in nature. The buildings shape will be set in the stimulating the border between fantasy and reality: an artefact with reflecting cladding which will repeat the trees image of the forest (and therefore will disappear as a building).

 

But at the same time it will show the interior through the large transparent glass windows, people working in their offices or laboratories in the middle of the forest.
