description
The extension of the museum is related with the roofs of Soro, with an intimate scale and take the shape of a tree made out of wood. From its roots in the Storegade street this alive organism is visible and invites the public to enter. Then, extents its branches to the existing garden and to the cultural square of the Library, embracing the interior patio of the museum and defining the exhibition spaces, which turns to the natural light. From the entrance, the structure made of natural wood leads the visitors inside, orienting them with the principles and secundaries beams, making them flow to all the spaces. The wood, as a building material shows the architectural identity of Soro; and in the interior of the Museum, the wood gives a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
