description
The offices of the KADION company, looking out on the gardens of Camp de Sarrià, were rehabilitated in such a way that the nature that surrounds them becomes manifest in the interior: biophilic design.
Glass interior walls reflect vegetation and the reflection of the reflection makes that from the hallways the personal can always see what the weather is like. The working zones are grouped according to the different departments and are separated by the glass video-conference cubes. At the end of the offices there is a space for presentations, with a small cantine and ping-pong table.
The carpet, 50% recycled material, is green-grey and is a continuations of the exterior grounds. Natural wood is used on several places, amongst others in wooden slats that separate working spaces that require some intimacy, or in the abstract representation of trees at the end of the hallways. On the exterior windows vinyl is applied with a desaturated-green texture to guarantee the privacy of the personal.
In the inner part of the offices, located beneath street-level, a storage and installation room are located, containing an energy efficient aero-thermal climatic installation. Interior and exterior sensors connect to window-ventilators that are opened to give freecooling and fresh air, when this spaces with its typical high internal heath gains requires so. The interior environmental quality is guaranteed through these technologies.
