description
This container consists of two conected rectangular volumes, whose bay-width responds to the requirements of the brief. The volumes respect the rubanistic directrices that define the distance in between and the space that thus is being created defines a hierarchy between the offices on the one hand and autonomy of the main entrance, the cafeteria and the services on the other. The internal organisation takes into account the north-south orientation and positions the laboratories on the north and the offices and reserach cabinets on the south, adding specific sun-protection elements on both facades. The high demands in the field of instalations are being intergrated in industrialised concrete shafts, that take on a structural role at the same time. The green space surrounding the volumes takes on an important role in the total composition of the plot.
