description

The Domingo house in Alcarrás, is a genuine refuge standing defiant to the harshness of the landscape and the climate at the gateway to Monegros desert; a real isolated shell, defended from the wind of Aragon and only opened at strategic points. This external isolation brought about a project consideration concerning the possibility of creating an ample, varied interior space. This central space comprised the living areas, dining areas and bedrooms (in the mezzanine), as well as the semi-out-door (or semi-indoor) swimming pool which benefitted from the greenhouse effect eight months of the year.
